After some digging (as I was also curious)... I believe it would have blocked the use of it - in S48, sounds like it was confirmed when Mitch used vote block on Sai, it prevented her from using it (per her post game interview) ew.com/survivor-48-...

In prior seasons I believe SITD could only be used until final 7, though not sure on rules this season.
