This is what makes it a potentially effective campaign strategy though. It provides a service that is currently necessary but shouldn’t be, and provides an opportunity to talk about how the government can be a force for good because many voters don’t see campaigns as distinct from government

My go to is Dragon Restaurant next to the Culver City Target on Jefferson

I mean, this basically describes Ryan Reynolds portrayal in Spirited. It's a guilty pleasure of mine

That was the moment I went from liking the game to loving the game

Did… did someone forget to plug him in? Marco-bot has a low battery?

In all seriousness, does he think this makes him look pious? Like, normal Christians stand in random corners with bowed heads ostensibly praying all the time?

We end up with effectively two capitalistic markets with a sizable percentage of the population priced out of half of it by design

It’s certainly not the textbook definition, but it is interesting to think about an economy sufficiently bifurcated that the wealthy produce enough demand such that the downward price pressure is negated. Companies can lose money lowering prices to capture the additional market.

We’ve been teased for too long. I so desperately want this game, but the studio was founded in July. I’m not getting my hopes up until we at least get a gameplay trailer

I loved so many elements of Majora, but I’ve never been a fan of time pressure in a game. An ability to pause the moon to have time to explore at leisure would push it above OoT for me.
My eternal opinion: The Talos Principle games or two of the greatest games ever and must be played multiple times

And she is a truly underrated character in a severely underrated Disney film

Looked to be the best job I’ve seen from them over a full 60 minutes this season limiting chances and especially keeping chances to the outside. Hopefully something they continue to build on

Worse, we’d have Trump touting on every platform imaginable how he was found “innocent” despite that not being a thing in American law. This was likely the best possible outcome

It’s also true that Fani Willis was a flawed face of a somewhat flawed prosecution. It was always going to be a stretch. I actually feel like we probably saved ourselves from a victory tour by Trump. Likely a reason why no other prosecutor would touch the case. But we want bad man punished…

You could extend this to our feelings about all others in society. As long as the people we don’t like are the ones being punished, we tend to look past a lot of bad behavior. Especially when it feels like no one else is doing anything about “the problem”

In my experience, spending enough on a membership and possibly a trainer that incentivizes you to utilize it is key. If you can easily talk yourself out of going and not feel like you’re wasting money it’s easy to fall into a trap of delaying indefinitely

Just launched a polyglot multi-front end, multi-backend, GraphQL driven tech stack built, instrumented, and deployed entirely using Aspire across multiple environments. Wouldn’t have been possible to do what my team accomplished in the time we had without it

The image here from Wikipedia doesn’t do it justice, but the St. Louis Slinger is the best hometown slop and nobody could ever convince me otherwise

It’s as if they believe all science is already in existence and what we’re lacking is sufficient number of statisticians to analyze the output. The naivety is frightening

Just once I want these people to explain how a machine learning algorithm that does nothing more than a fancy compression algorithm is going to invent original ideas. Better yet, I’d love a single example of an original, data driven, concept entirely created by an LLM
