Love that look. I was doing oil pastels on black paper back in my teens. I went to a trade school for Art, I was very prolific in my art then. It is a skill that needs to be honed, and practice is a must to keep it.
I keep saying I'm going to get back into it.....

It is as much or more at times hands on experience. I have a large assortment of wood working tools, and several Dremel kits. But when I started carving at around 11yrs old I used an X-acto knife. I'd sharpen the blade when it got dull. I still have it and use it.
It all depends why I'm doing it.

I started carving when I was around 10-11yrs old. Still love it. I still use my old wood carving tools even though I have Dremels I use when I have a lot of material to remove. There's something very satisfying when I'm carving...✨✌️💖

We have rain which will be turning to snow by Wednesday night.
Our town made the national news every day from over a week ago till this past weekend, as a national disaster. We had the national guard come in to help. We got more snow on the first day of the storm than we had all last winter. 😒🐾

I have art that are years old, I do a little then don't touch again for a very long time.
I am in the process of moving. But as soon as I'm settled the guitar, my synth and my portable drawing/paint board and supplies come out.
