I’ve really enjoyed that series. I’ve read seven or eight of them so far, among the better PI-type novels I’ve read in recent years.

I’m sure I’m not the first person to note this but “Hurston Waldrep” sounds like a name from a Michael Schur show. (It is, in fact, possible that Michael Schur has noted this and that’s why it strikes me that way…)

I’ve sold a bunch of silver coins over the years on eBay and have generally had good luck with it. (And, yes, silver is something like double the price it’d been any time pre-2025.)
