Spent this AM doing the same for kid's theatre. It was a little old fashioned. I had to fight the 🖨 to print a form and then write a big check.

After school activities probably cost as much as preschool once you count the time for registration, planning and coordination

Waste oil economics work pretty well and if you are collecting that you might as well get the solids at the same time. Most restaurants are producing enough waste to make it work.

A lot depends on energy economics. Food waste is disfavored under RFS.

I saw the other thread.

Do Good Food tried commercial scale but went bankrupt. I'm not sure what happened to them after and I'm sure others tried.

At commercial scale, energy recovery starts to make a lot more sense due to aggregation economies of scale.

Mill works b/c resi collection is $$$

If this LCFS's treatment of avoided methane continues, Mill should get credits for avoided methane. It's convoluted and nearly impossible to track, but an improvement on the status quo.

I'm finishing up a project right now that tries to look at the best case for turning food waste to energy and specifically what kind (⚡️, RNG or ✈️ fuel). This simple thing likely makes more sense despite the high consumer cost.

Disclose: I did some LCA validation for Mill about a year ago.
