I loved both of the first two books of the Culture series. Very different but both so good. I couldn't get into the 3rd one and never finished it but keep meaning to get back in for the rest of the series.

I had eczema on my right hand for many years. I'm not sure if it's the condition or the medication that's to blame, but now fingerprint sensors can't read any fingers from that hand. Fortunately, I have a secret second hand that works fine.
