I understand your point about the ACC comment, but I disagree. When a business partner chooses to target you when there are other targets (e.g., Alabama and Oklahoma), it is fair to question the relationship. It's totally fair for Miami to target ND, but the ACC should not be doing that.

But when a partner does that, what's ND supposed to do? Say thank you? Again, the grievance lies not with the outcome (and the AD has been clear on that point), but instead with the process and the relationship with a business partner.

Even with NIL, the power imbalance between players and schools in college football is absurd. If the players don't want to play the game, we should respect that.
