Just confirming: it is not ok (or cool) in our profession to ignore papers that relate clearly to ours, even if they are working papers. There is some weird trend going on lately…

How has the large inflow of less-educated immigrants into the United States affected US natives’ labor market outcomes? Sparber @colgateuniversity.bsky.social and Madeline Zavodny show that the work hazards have fallen for native workers and the impact is larger for women.

There has been no increase in the economic diversity of elite private and public colleges in the United States over the last century.

However, these colleges have become more racially and geographically diverse.

Happy to be here as well to see more relevant posts posted by academics. BUT academics are well aware of the dangers of echo-chambers, so now more than ever, I hope academics keep posting on X (and perhaps mobilize to like relevant posts). I think it would be bad to disappear in our own bubble!

The graph nicely illustrates what one may regard as a worldwide tacit agreement on climate policy: We continue to increase the consumption of energy, and generate it sustainably.

The agreement is only about the general direction - the numbers in the graph need improvement of course.
World Energy Outlook graph on energy generation until 2050, entitled „Solar generation is set to quadruple by 2030, sending coal power tumbling“.
