Yes and no. Yes in that some companies are trying to shoe-horn AI into every nook and cranny of their products even when it doesn't add value. No in that many consumers are actively seeking out AI solutions to tedious problems. Also yes that tech can't afford to lose.

Also the foundations of Houston's skyscrapers are most likely below sea level - can't tunnel under them for drainage in any scenario.

The math is not mathing well for Musk here - 18% of the drainage capacity at 16% of the cost.
But here are more problems for Houston in either case, Houston is ~50' above sea level, shouldn't the *bottom* of any drainage tunnel be above sea level (+ tide). Unless ginormous pumps are also planned?

I'm thinking we need to go back to polytheism just because it's more interesting. Looking to develop a cool suite of gods, and goddesses. First up "Baristus" - god of coffee. The romans and the greeks never knew coffee which could explain why their civilizations did not endure.
