Project 2025 has been gaining attention lately, and rightly so. With rising awareness about this MAGA-made plan for a second Trump term, writer Jay Kuo breaks down the 900-page document into its key subject areas so we can take action against it.

This is why book bans are on such a steep incline. The far right extremists who organize them are capitalizing on easily inflamed bigotries to defund institutions of public learning bc it's the most effective and cheapest way to cling to their power.
Poor people use libraries. Rich people shut them down because they don't *want* poor people to read.

I hate to bully an entire species, but this is the Cotylorhynchus, a caseid synapsid that roamed the South Central US, including Texas, during the Permian.

And they're just ridiculous looking. A giant heavy body, but a teeny-tiny head used for eating vegetation.

Let's talk about tautonyms & the weird, sad little taxonomy nerds who love them (me; I'm talking about me).

A tautonym is a scientific name where both genus & specific epithet have the same spelling.

Rattus rattus, for example, the black rat.
Or Vulpes vulpes, the red fox.
