And we will raise our children to know how wrong you are about this. And the generations to come will drive out your darkness.

BUT, if you do, I, myself, my family, and my friends will be a safe place for them. We will love them, hug them and tell them they are beautiful and perfect and deserving of feeling like they belong in their body and their own identity. We will tell them no one gets to define who they are but them.

To those who celebrate Trump’s Exec Order declaring the US only recognizes two sexes, I hope you never have a child that feels like they were born in the wrong body. I hope your child never feels anxiety about their gender identity.
