I already deeply mourn the loss of all the fabric stores. Yes, Michael's sells fabric, but hardly 1% as much fabric as Hancock or Joanns, and good luck finding someone to cut it for you! I hate to buy fabric if I can't see and feel it in person.

Been listening to a lot of 70's folk music. Reminds me how amazing John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot were. And I appreciate even more Joni Mitchell's performance at the Grammys last year.

Ah... The days when I would hide under the covers to listen to Dr. Demento on my transistor radio! Formative education - Spike Jones, Tom Lehrer, and of course the always amazing Weird Al!

I love how the official response is "they weren't ICE". Hmm, maybe no masks and official ID would help differentiate the official vigilantes from non-sanctioned vigilantes?

Wow - Cambridge of all places! So rather than provide resources to lift up disadvantaged students, they punished advanced students. How very Harrison Bergeron of them.

We travel regularly to Chicago to visit our son who lives near Logan Square. That always felt like a safe place to visit until ICE started terrorizing the community.

My son is in Chicago and working hard to repel the invasion of his Latino neighbors next door. It's a difficult battle, but keeping those tomatillas growing through the fence at bay is a sacrifice helps willing to make for his country! (plus they're delicious!)

I did both in the left arm, and when I wasn't on video calls whirled it around like a pinwheel in a hurricane. It was somewhat sore, but at least I knew I'd have my dominant hand available!

Dr. Jonathan M. Metzl's book "Dying of whiteness" explains this well with modern examples www.dyingofwhiteness.com

I started switching to native plants two years ago. I've had to go buy pollinator guides so I can identify all my visitors! Fireflies, dragonflies, grasshoppers, clear winged hummingbird moths, so many bees. Butterflies and a variety of birds, as well as quite a few orb weaver spiders!
