The corn dolly shape recreated a diagram from Lilli Lehmann’s “How to Sing,” titled “The Attack and the Vowels.” The regalia enabled a silent reception and reflection.

Tiny Acts volume II MW 177 Sanctuary. There was so much to cope with today it was a wonder I had time to do anything else. The room I made out of one of the many many house moving boxes was surprisingly comforting. I stood at my window, the neighbours and passers-by were my witnesses and audience.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 176 Concentric Rooms. I put a room-like box in another room-like box in the shed. I tried to put myself in the inner box using a mirror. I had a remote meeting with @lemsford in which I put her in the inner box. I found a little wardrobe in the shed and put the boxes inside.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 175 Love lines. Using the embroidered hanky I posted to my new home, I shielded my mouth from a sphere of graphite putty as I pushed it against a tree on the Racecourse. I printed the resulting lines on paper, then pushed my messy hand against fresh paper onto the tree.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 174 Breast drawing, Tiny Floor. Continuing my ideas with graphite, lines and body, I drew a line across the floor of a cake box room with my left breast, inspired by Paul McCarthy’s “Face Painting - Floor, White Line. The water soluble graphite was the consistency of milk.

Dream: this letter of the Russian alphabet was banned in the West.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 173 Mildly Provocative. I recreated a forgotten note in embroidery on my commute. I didn’t make eye contact with the person sitting next to me on the train as I sewed “Sex,” “Sexual” etc. The page was a morris hanky and a token of courtly love. I posted it to my future home.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 172 Linear. @lemsford and I were discussing linear and non-linear. If I hear the word “line” I imagine that line to be straight. I’m meant to be packing up my studio to move, so I used the spines of random books as my straight edge and used my body as my sketchbook.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 171 Hauntological Tea. After last week’s Tiny Act I washed the wassail bowl and its handles fell off, having lasted for almost 10 years. I have a cold and was feeling broken myself. I made a tea from mead and the broken handles and sipped it in bed with the cat.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 170 Apple Elements reenactment. At @elliemayhobson annual wassailing I reenacted TA’s 63b and 114b by mixing graphite and cider and drawing on faces and hands with the mixture. I had fallen over on Thursday, injuring my right arm so movements were aptly slow and careful.

Tiny Acts volume IV MW 169 Eowyndsock. I tied a wind sock to the roof and it was very shy when photographed, flitting between the front and back of the house. I had to run back and forth through the house to catch it. I took it on the afternoon school run and Sandy carried it home like a banner.
