Since 1990s, we started planting deciduous forests like birches to get rid of susceptible spruce monocultures. Looks much better now

Forest cover has expanded significantly here in the last few decades, esp. after the communists stopped cutting it down for whatever bs industrial reasons in 1970s and 1980s
