Oh, that’s great! I just picked it up on Kindle, btw.

No, I haven’t but it definitely sounds like my kind of book.

If you show that to Alain, he will get confused and complain about the title being misspelled.

Trading Places

Yes it is. I’m enjoying it. Not sure how long they can keep it going, but there’s certainly material for at least one or two more seasons.

When you do, you may also wish to catch THE STUDIO. Not sci-fi at all, but a very funny satire on behind the scenes film production. I’m really enjoying it.

Thanks, I will definitely check them out. I know I plan on watching the show on AppleTV+. They have a very good batting average so far.

You know me and luchadors !

You know what my reaction would be if that happened: « Uh. Didn’t expect that. What do I do with the remaining two wishes ? ».

No, I wasn’t. I like his stuff but you’re a bigger gan of his than I am.

Better safe than sorry 😉

Thanks, but you won’t be surprised to find out I already have it 😁

Great book. Then again, it’s hard to go wrong with Matheson. One of my most prized possession is the 40th anniversary limited edition of I AM LEGEND.

I don’t find it much of a problem in terms of photography. Visually, the vast majority of what I watch is damn clear. Then again, I watch in 4k with HDR. The sound however is utter crap for a variety of reasons. If not for the subtitles I would only watch stuff produced before 2000.

Perez and Janson would seem to be an odd combo. I’m definitely intrigued.
December 2, 2024 at 1:49 AM
No, I haven’t. Didn’t know it was Perez ! Now I will have to.
December 2, 2024 at 1:31 AM
Uh! Not sure it would work for me either.

Never read the book. I’m curious to know how it differs from the movie.

Cats. I live dogs, but that’s why I stick to cats.

Yeah, 10 LITTLE INDIANS is a classic. I went on an Agatha Christie binge when I was a teenager, a lifetime ago.

We never forget them.

You said it.

With DUNE, I loved the first book but was never able to really get into any of the sequels.
November 24, 2024 at 10:29 PM
Oh yeah, LE MONDE DES NON-A. With Gilbert Gosseyn, who was able to « se similariser jusqu’à la vingtième décimale ». The things my brain remembers! 😂

One of the classic authors from John W. Campbell’s stable back at Astounding. I read a truckload of his stuff back then. You may have read SLAN, or THE WEAPON SHOPS OF ISHER.
