Just adding a handful of VPs wouldn't change the median very much. It could stretch the means, but 1 VP just "cancels out" one lower wage worker. Median is a great measure for how a company pays the workforce.

This is exactly what Maria Ressa has talked about happened in the Philippines. It's absolutely terrifying and why we need to keep talking to people "on the other side".

In the USA I think a lot of people discredited fascists as being a small portion of the population, but look where the USA is today. While they don't represent the majority, fascists are unfortunately good at gaining power. I hope Aus takes this more seriously than people in my country did :/

I keep reaching out to the presidents office of universities I have worked at or gotten a degree from. Everything these institutions supposedly stand for says they should ban together and resist - instead they choose to fall to their knees. It is absolutely maddening.

When I was diagnosed with MS a very wise coworker suggested I stay off the message boards for this reason. It's so frustrating that those trained in health are just after your money while a media sales person is on your side. How did that happen?

I agree, we are all in this together. I also believe protest is action. You get 100,000 people together it's a lot harder to target individuals for abductions. People can also share ideas easier and more effectively. We all know where this is going and want it to reverse.

What do you propose? I don't disagree that protests alone won't change things, but like many I wonder what else the masses can do.
