I bought season tickets to the ballet. I worried about the cost for a minute, but losing the ballet would cost so much more.

I will always go to the ballet.

Today I volunteered to work at a community event. It's okay to be a follower and to join the good work that others are already doing.

Today, I changed my phone settings to disallow location sharing for most apps. It took less than 5 minutes.

I opened my phone settings, went to security and privacy, privacy controls, location access.

Today, I submitted comments on the creation of Schedule P/C in the federal civil service. I don't have to do everything and my activism is more meaningful when I talk about the things I know.

Reading On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder is #OneActionADay for today.

I'd like to add some more books to my reading list. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Today I read this article open.substack.com/pub/protectd...

And learned about how public comments can influence rulemaking. Public comments about the plan to reclassify civil servants as at-will are due May 23rd

We heard the rumors. Maybe president panican will declare martial law, maybe he won’t. But do you think this clown car of incompetent sycophantic signal leakers can keep all 300 million of us down? Absolutely not. We will not comply. Here’s some advice from Oliver Kornetzke. Let’s get weird.

I'm going to count getting to know my neighbors as an action.

So today's action was asking my neighbor if she wants to check out a local wine bar with me.

A few weeks ago I wrote a personal letter to my state legislators asking them to use state funds to replace lost federal funding for libraries. My action today was to share that letter with my extended family and ask them to send a letter too.
