Agreed, but equally will it be resolved by reduced immigration? That's the question. Reducing immigration induced demand is institutive, but without recognizing that this will also impact supply your only seeing half the story. Not saying I know for sure but think the supply aspect is important

If we could reduce immigration related demand without impacting supply it might make sense, but if we reduce both supply and demand it might not. (Caveat: We don't have the evidence to make a confident prediction either way)

Because if immigration falls demand falls, but supply also falls. So the whole thing kind of adjusts down, but with no meaningful gain. Immigrants make up 20% of construction workers, but also key demographic for built to rent investment 1/2

But would curtailing immigration relieve issues with inadequate supply over the medium to long term? It could well be that supply falls quite significantly if employment related immigration is restricted?
