2024 is the year of crocheting cephalopods.
Woke up, saw the news, texted my spouse (he'd been up for hours) expressing a similar concept.

And, as a dual citizen (US and CAN) living in Alberta, I'm feeling particularly helpless.

Ha!

I bought this one in a large part because I like it's aesthetic. 😂

I like that I can start at Monday, and that the compartments aren't big enough for the entire bottle of pills so it can sit easily on my nightstand.

I went through a similar struggle recently after having to add 2 new Rx meds to my routine. Sigh. This is what I landed on www.amazon.ca/dp/B0F7VTX9QH - after (like you) searching in person and online for several weeks.

As did I!

In my case it was the shipper, as well. So, it's still possible that Wayfair could do something.

Regardless, it's still crappy that lots of folks are waiting for things from FedEx, especially things like medicines!

I had a much smaller package lost with a shipper recently. After 2 weeks of "shipment created", I contacted the seller. They also can't find the package, but they reshipped everything express, and I received it 2 days later - in a blizzard!

So I hope Wayfair will make it right for you!

I guess so.

Her toes get cold very easily, and her coat is thinning as she ages. I totally get not wanting to go out in this mess.

Charcuterie?

My spouse always makes me eggplant rollatini since it's not available anywhere near us.

Our 60-lb husky mix noped out at lunch, too

I've been a fan of all the minifigs this year, but the build are dumb.
December 17, 2025 at 7:03 PM
I have not looked at the knock-off versions. I shall!

Maybe. I regret not getting him the Lego Minecraft one, as it seems really cool.

I think this is his 10th Star Wars one, and it's just overall disappointing compared to previous years. This blog describes my feelings very well! jaysbrickblog.com/star-wars-2/...

I really like that colour!

1. I may need to get that mug for a good friend.

2. My kid has outgrown his annual Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar. 😭 So, as spouse and I were discussing this over breakfast today, I brought up how much joy your Advent calendar unboxings bring me. 😍

3. Maybe next year, I'll get my own calendar?

Oof. Too cold for the deicing stuff is no fun! We're in that range too, up here in the Great White North, but the difference is everyone knows we get this for a few months every winter *and* has snow tires!

Stay safe and warm!

That was my strategy for a good month! 🤣

I live in a house of the same era, so I totally get what you're saying! I was always nervous carrying my kid up and down the stairs, especially in the newborn stage.

Thank you!

Love this: "...there are two yields for reactions: Enough and Not Enough"

That's always been my experience as well.

I'm going to look for those. I have some nice ski gloves with the heat reflector lining from Columbia, but those don't work for me much below 0F/-20C.
December 4, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Brutal.

Maybe mittens are the answer? Separating the fingers (even gloves inside of mittens) seems to make my fingers very cold.
December 4, 2025 at 7:38 PM
I have the same problem with my hands, and I'm *still* trying to figure gloves/mittens out.
December 4, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Ooo... I should try some silk glove liners.

We've lived in this cold climate for almost 2 decades, and I still haven't optimized glove/mittens. Tho the rechargeable handwarmers are pretty great.
