His office phone number is (303) 866-2885. Press 1 after they answer and let him know how you feel.

It cannot hurt, and it only takes a few seconds.

Great question, but my answer would be too much of a guess. I believe the current environment and knowledge of the specific venue are important factors. I did not practice in that district. Also, I was a defense attorney; I don’t have any direct insight into current AUSA ops.

I agree, and that is a more important point than mine.

I was just sitting down having an afternoon pint and thought I would contribute something as a retired, old trial lawyer. I will now go back to day drinking, without further comment.

This changes the jury pool. Instead of trial in state court in the county in Minneapolis where the event occurred, the jury pool in federal court will be expanded to include more counties in Minnesota in that part of the state, which counties will probably be rural and more conservative.

He is not a libertarian.

Many of people that need to live off social security, and who paid into it their whole lives, typically cannot do, or will be laid off from, their blue collar/service jobs before 65. It is their earned benefit.

I really enjoy your posts. Thank you. It is nice to scroll through the art everyday. I pause from the crap this country is going through.

Smith was articulate, thoughtful and persuasive. I hope we can hear more from him in the future.

If the boat is small enough that two people can flip it, it was never being used to transport drugs 2000 miles in the ocean to the US. Cotton’s argument is ridiculous.

Do you know if the 6 month time to refile is tolled while that issue is on appeal? Thanks.

Agreed. You keep fighting the good fight. Eventually the cumulative effects reach a tipping point, that the quitters said would never come. It just may not come in your life time. Isn’t that the basis of the civil rights movement? Keep grinding. Enjoy the battles won, even if the fight continues.

They have beat 2 teams with a winning record in 11 games. They are 2 and 2 against winners. Let’s see how they do in the next 6, when they will probably play 4 teams with winning records. They won’t be playing losers in the playoffs. They are good, but Super Bowl good?
