Oh, that gorgeous London St Pancras, always feels special when arriving into this 1868 masterpiece. The gothic Midland Grand Hotel really is a spectacular design of architecture. Lushhhhhhhh.

Having to catch an earlier train than anticipated from Sheffield which curtailed my planned drink in the station tap! 🙄 With the 1F50 being cancelled.. But despite this minor setback. EMR provided a very lovely 1C74 service back to
St Pancras.. Purple paradise! 💜

Next up. Manchester Piccadilly to Edale, with the 2S78 to Sheffield.
No better way to deal with the January blues than a good hike around Kinder Scout (Peak District's gorgeous) Perfect conditions, fully welcoming sunshine which makes a pleasant change from the amount of gloomy clouds recently. Haha

Hmm, an eerily quiet London Euston, good to see the departure boards back where they belong! Next leg 1H07 to Manchester Piccadilly with 390128...
