The bust of Sir Winston Churchill sits in Trump's Oval Office. He was an immensely brave leader who visited Washington, dressed in fatigues, seeking support against a despot. We all know what he would have made of today's unedifying spectacle and whose side he would have been on.

Still Too Many Sheriffs in Too Many Family Court Cases

Parents report appearing before four, five or more sheriffs despite case management changes that seek ‘judicial continuity’

Only 1 in 5 had the same sheriff for the duration of their court case.

Your baby doesn’t need shoes. 👞

Learning to walk is a complex process that, among other things, requires strength and coordination across an entire network of muscles and tendons.

Being the best role model, we can be through ALL of life's trials and joys, is what parenting is all about.

Modelling how to divorce amicably with your children's best interests paramount is the #1 priority to ensure this doesn't have a life-long impact.

The years of early childhood are an apprenticeship in what it means to be human. And your baby wants nothing more than to be like YOU.

Grandparents are a vital part of a child's development.

Cutting out that source of love and connection cuts them off from their identity and sense of belonging.

If you have (or have ever had) a little one who looks at you like this, you have much to be thankful for indeed.

Now let me tell you what your baby can’t quite yet: Your baby is thankful for YOU.

Just because marriages finish, families don't. Children need the love they knew before, to continue after divorce. They need as much stability and continuity that they can get.

So please don't dis your ex I front of the children. They copy EVERYTHING.
Parenthood is an awesome responsibility.

That’s true throughout life, but never more so than in early childhood - as young children lovingly apprentice alongside their parents (and other loved ones) as they learn what it means to be human.

The moment abuse occurs, everything changes for the survivor. Touch becomes complex. Sudden movement creates threat. Shame pushes them to question their role in the pain. This is not weakness. This is survival in real time and it deserves compassion and understanding.

Hmm... food for thought. So many are mentioning the extreme right of politics, as they should. But I was thinking of the followers of the extreme left, too.

R.I.P common sense, respect and empathy, the virtues of centralist politics.
Word of the day is ‘sequaciousness’ (16th century): the slavish and reckless following of another person in matters of thought or opinion.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

In this case, delayed justice has caused significant issues for this traumatised parent.

The boys continue to indoctrinated to reject this parent. The impact of this undermines their identity, potentially causing significant harm

Can't wait to hear my granddaughter coo like this - due in 10 weeks 😍
Does your baby coo or hum themself to sleep? If so, you aren’t alone.

Listen closely to this darling little one, shared to IG by lexalynn225, as she begins to float off to sleep.

Her soft vocalizations are an expression of contentment.

Your baby may be able to sit upright without assistance as early as 6 months, but, like most skills, this is one perfected over time.

This happy little guy is almost there. It’s hard when Dad has more jokes than you have balance and core strength!

Widening the circle of invested adults in a child's life like this is invaluable for healthy children development.

Let’s talk about language-rich environments.

One of the determining factors in both the speed at which your child develops language and the size of his/her early vocabulary is exposure to (direct & interactive) caregiver speech.

Looking for the perfect holiday gift for your baby? How about a “face book?”

I’ve written often about how much infants love the faces of their loved ones. Indeed, we’re biologically driven from birth to distinguish - and study - the faces that matter most.
