The Whisps remind me more of Silkflies that turned to Fire but I get what you mean! There's for sure some sort of Connection also with the Asthethic!

Jup! I like the Theory, that the Burning Bugs are an Off-Shoot of the Grimm-Troupe that lost it's connection to the Nightmare Heart and thus most memories of the Troupe. Like they have awaken from a Dream. They only could remember Fire and a "Father" they worshipped
