...the landgrabs in Ukraine, starting with Crimea, all happened under America's watchful eye. Such things never stopped in the post-war period. The relative European peace after WWII is not due to America, and it may well have been more peaceful had America been wiped off the map.

The world wars wouldn't have happened if American financiers and arms dealers hadn't played both sides in the first, and Hitler wouldn't have risen to power without taking inspiration from American eugenicists, anti-Semites, and propagandists. I.e. Himmler would have been nothing without Bernays.

Is that why America has always positioned itself outside of the institutions of international law?
