anything faster than a Miata in terms of outright speed is really just the cherry on the icing on roads that twisty - but it’s a balance between increased confidence that the outcome when you enter a corner is what gets delivered and whether the car is so within its limits that it feels bored

if I had those roads in my backyard, I would probably be looking at an Elise or a Seven or something where outright speed isn’t really all that great, but I can get the most out of the experience within the limits of a backroad

the 997 works when you have a long drive to get to roads like that

couple observations here: we really ought to get you to an HPDE to explore some limits in different hardware - spirited drive speed is limited for obvious reasons, so the focus on what you’re looking to get out of the experience is different (something fizzier, less interference to the road)
