I’m not saying this decision isn’t politically motivated, it obviously is given Trump’s deranged hatred of turbines, but they do cause problems for AD radars.

The UK MoD is spending £1.5 billion mitigating the problems caused by wind turbines to AD radar. Look up project njord.

Turbines have large areas, long edges and they move pretty quickly, giving them a large radar return.

To be clear, I don't think we shouldn't make reactors, they are very useful, but I agree with his implication that we should be harvesting all this energy that's just sloshing around.

As a Swiss resident it does grieve me that Switzerland is still so isolationist.

I do, however, have it on good authority that when the Swiss army trains they train on that assumption that Russian tanks will be the ones they have to shoot at and not NATO tanks.

There was a TV show, years ago, that did genetic tests on volunteers. One woman claimed she had English ancestry for a "thousand years" or something equally unlikely, but the genetics test proved otherwise. She stormed off in a huff, IIRC.

I think it's deliberate, rather than a failure to dig deeper - they say "five years after leaving the university" rather than "five years after dropping out" - implying he graduated.
