Again, Rep. McGuire shows that he doesn’t believe in anything. He voted to cut healthcare subsidies. He kept the government closed because he refused to budge on healthcare subsidies. And now that he sees a poll, he’s saying he wants healthcare subsidies.

I’ve been a little under the weather the past several days, so Halloween has mostly involved puttering around the house and watching scary movies. But I still had to break out the matching dragon costumes for me and Jo. Hope all of #va05 has a safe and happy Halloween!

Over the last week, I’ve watched my community scramble. Food pantries, churches, and neighbors have braced to support the thousands of Albemarle residents afraid of going without food. Rep. McGuire peacocking at a food bank while his inaction makes folks go hungry is the darkest irony I can imagine.

I’m going to keep fighting for working class folks.
I’m going to keep fighting for left behind rural communities.
And by God, we’re gonna win, whatever the district lines are.
