Seriously badass. The sickest (likely apocryphal) thing I ever heard about Badwater is that runners try to stay on the white line because it keeps their shoes from getting sticky.

I'm so mad that all of this wasn't a thing in Jackson Heights when I was a kid and visiting friends in that neighborhood at least every other month or so.

Seagulls are nasty critters. A few years ago some nested on the light pole right outside the Boney Courthouse and were dive bombing people walking by to protect their territory. Seagulls attacking eagles is a pretty common site around Anchorage also.

Senator Dunbar is deployed with the Guard for the next several months. Given the 46 votes for the budget, the 45 needed to override the veto, and the multiple cowards who voted for last year's education funding increase but not to override the veto, we're stuck legislatively until the next session.
