I wonder if the delay due to traffic will influence any discussion and decisions made and if so, in favour of encouraging more traffic or less?

What problem do people think gets solved by requiring licencing/insurance for cyclists? People continue bringing that point up in every discussion about bikes/bike lanes and nobody can come up with an answer. It’s insanity.

Right? Like, thank you for not being a bad driver and doing the literal minimum by not running me over. Nah.

No “Take Me Home “ though 😔

It’s 2025. Arrows, signs, lights, sirens - they’re all only suggestions for drivers.

Someone asked me once and I chose purely because she had more career experience and implied wisdom than I did (not that that was a high bar, mind you, but still enough for me to assume she was at least a couple years older than me). I rounded down by guessing she was my age. ❌ 2 years younger.

I hope it’s embarrassing too. He would hate that so much.

Then there was another that suddenly stopped in front of me halfway across, before turning its lights on. I didn’t know if they were trying to stop traffic flow or what. There didn’t seem to be any urgency outside of the traffic violations (lol) but it led to a lot of unnecessary confusion.

Was there any connection to the police presence on the MacDonald Bridge at around 8pm last night? One police vehicle almost ran into my car while attempting to make a sudden u-turn as I was about to cross the bridge. The flashing lights came on only to make the u-turn and then went off again.

No can do. Gotta find the super mayor powers to save Morris Street from the evil cyclists.

I’m noticing more drivers running red lights, looking down while moving (presumably at a cell phone), and I can’t even tell you the last time I’ve seen a taxi actually use a turn signal. I can’t imagine what it’s like for cyclists.

I saw someone run the red at the last set of lights on Dunbrack just before that intersection yesterday, almost hitting three people and a dog. Drivers are getting worse and they want to build more lanes and roadways?

I wait for the day someone blares their horn at me for sitting at a no turn on red sign while the light is red. Not that there’s much I can do in response I guess other than a well-delivered middle finger while I wait for the green.
