As an engineer and a writer I feel this. But yeah no one is an expert on everything. Can’t be. Life’s too short.
As an aside, a lot of “tech” bigwigs are actually just business bros cosplaying as STEM when in reality they couldn’t hack it in school. Basically conmen.

I’m there with you. Maybe air traffic being a mess through the holidays would have brought the republicans to compromise. But who knows now? It is hard to negotiate with bad faith actors.

What was the point of the past 40 days if they were gonna get nothing for it besides a promise of a doomed senate vote (but not one in the house according to Mike Johnson today) ?

Relentless filibuster use to stymie the agendas of Obama and Biden. He was able to hold his caucus together and filibuster hundreds upon hundreds of times. Sometimes to delay. Sometimes to extract some concessions. Never for nothing at all, like we saw last night.

I don’t know. It seems to me that they were the fall guys for this cave. Unsurprisingly none are up for reelection next year and 2 are retiring. Not saying all the others supported the yes voters but I suspect some did.
