Purton. Starling murmuration this afternoon. 5-10k birds around 4pm and more after. Spectacular display. Just S of the Timber Ponds. + Little Grebes 4, poss 5. #Glosbirds You don't need to go all the way to Somerset

Firecrest @slimbridge-wild.bsky.social this morn near the MSH tunnel. Have been trying for weeks to spot one on the reserve. Less than a minute later a 2nd one turned up. Like buses... #Glosbirds

Dragonflies still about in the S Finger @slimbridge-wild.bsky.social this morn. Here a Willow Emerald Damselfly. Also there a pair of mating Common Darters. Little and Temmincks Stints amongst the waders. Lovelty to see 500+ Golden Plovers in the sunlight. Merlin on MP XF early on. #Glosbirds
