And an absolute ban on showing trailers for the movie you’re about to see. That’s horrible.

It’s really interesting, though. The Implosion causes a whole bunch of trouble and the publisher comes back by effectively having a universe reboot IRL. Confidence builds with the success of Crisis and DC starts to experiment with new products - physical products. And gravure presses are cool.

It’s interesting that so many of these books were printed on a gravure press, upgrading what could be done with colour, paper quality and so on. I think that’s where all the incongruous purples and greens came from at the time. I’m a bit fascinated by editorial’s choices with the budget then.

No, but I see the relation to it. I’ve seen a few issues around but never read it. I am sometimes shocked, though, at how much of DC’s best is all happening at once.

Thanks. I have the floppies, mainly because I found most of them cheap in a warehouse sale.
Yeah, it’s really great, and also lets itself down regularly with content that makes me stop and go “what?”. Also it clearly suffered when the letterer and colourist switched to the launch of Hellblazer.

Oh. I reached the racist character. Got it.
This book isn’t in the same league, so to speak, as the strongest post-Crisis DC. I’m still enjoying it, but mostly for the mullet and the Question’s incredible colour-changing fabric, which is very amusing.

Wait, no, it was Fistula! Anyway Stallone Dredd isn’t even scary. What a tool.

Remember it’s totally ok to have time off and enjoy sometimes. 😊 #DadLife

Me too. I’m done. Somebody somewhere has missed the meaning of “fun”.

That’s brilliant! Thanks for the share - that may have sold it to me. I’ve been rewatching some of those recently and having a good chuckle.
But I’m a bit surprised Old Man Turlough wasn’t still dressed in school uniform. 🤪

Ha ha! That’s great. I would have quite enjoyed that, I think. I never managed to see any incarnation of The Fall, which is a shame, but also a reason to do new things.

I wish! I’d be there.

Adding some notes here as I read, because what the hell. I’m seeing the flaws, which begin with a fascinating mullet that sets the tone. It’s great stuff as an adventure story but Watchmen was streets ahead.

Good luck! 🦵

It’s a no! 🤪
