In a geographically based electoral system, it’s perverse to demand representatives of urban areas sacrifice their own constituents to help those who vote and empower those who wish to do harm on America’s cities.

Steven Miller is doing this because of sincere beliefs. It’s so counterproductive to think any and all opposition is only bought off. I’d say social pressure is a larger component of elite support for Trump than simple greed.
