10th World Archaeology Congress has wrapped up. Here's us who presented in the session 'Microarchaeology—Using Micro-analytical Techniques to Elucidate the Deep Environmental Past and the Evolution of Our Species'. Our session and the whole of the conference was largely successful

Thanks to all the co-authors and especially @mikegeoarch.bsky.social for the vote of confidence to do some of the microarchaeological analysis. I believe this is my first paper analysing an arid environment site!

Check out our new paper in JAS describing a new Pleistocene combustion feature from the Riverlands in South Australia. Fantastic to collaborate with the River Murray and Mallee Aboriginal Corporation, Flinders colleagues and other collaborators

The eldest concentrating on the novel task of scraping a thin layer of ice off the car windscreen this morning (with my staff card). We don’t get many frosts here but it was bloody cold this morning in the Adelaide Hills

This was originally a poultiggery. The base a home for pigs and the top for hens. The pigs keep the hens warm in winter. A bit of vernacular gorgeousness from Cowside in Langstrothdale, Yorkshire Dales.

New discovery: A #Roman wooden water pipe has been found during works on Brussels Street in Leuven.
At a depth of about 4 meters, archaeologists found the wooden water pipe running the entire length of the construction pit, totaling 20 to 30 meters.

Dozens of scholars in my field appear on my YouTube channel, hundreds share my videos or threads with students, and thousands repost them on social media

Archaeologists support ethical, experienced, evidence-driven public content. That's what I provide

These clowns just provide lies
Twitter convo with Jimmy Corsetti saying my colleagues don't support me

They are liars of course. We all support you, Flint.

I might wait until she’s a bit older as I’m not sure I would have wanted to watch it when I was just 8

A reposting by Henry Gee is perhaps a journal venue clue?
