Whelp, I finally hit one decent weather day, so I finally cut down that dead Colorado Blue Spruce in my back yard. A Poulan 18" chain saw makes fairly quick work of it, as the light is fading. Scooter was impressed . 🐈 😻
Next, to clean up and get some dinner. It's getting cold!

Whelp, I finally hit one decent weather day, so I finally cut down that dead Colorado Blue Spruce in my back yard. A Poulan 18" chain saw makes fairly quick work of it, as the light is fading. Scooter was impressed . 🐈 😻

Looks like a tesselation of overlapping hexagonal and circular patterns or Penrose tiling. The motions are really interesting too. Looks like a great pattern for gathering energy if the circles were parabolic mirrors and the centers were foci. Circulation cold be for gathering heat or cooling.

The custom that surprised me was putting real lit candles in Christmas trees ca. late 1800's Victorian era. But the one that shocked me the most was the Scandinavian custom on Santa Lucia Day, also called St. Lucy's Day, on December 13, where people wore lit candles on their head.

Yeah really! Hey, I hear the northernights (aurora) might be out tonight. Look north to NW. I can begin to see a faint pink glow, but bet view is usually around 11pm-1am. Thank Raven Mae for the heads up!

Whelp, beginning to lift out the Canna lilies and over winter the corms, but the Cleomes are getting huge now too. The humming birds are gone, and the Canada geese are preparing to head south for the winter.
