I'm nearly exclusively audiobooks and would be interested in what you mean by "improved by that format." (I do find memoirs read by skilled narrator/authors to be pretty consistently entertaining). Thought "A Man of Iron" was terrific.

Real ones know the difference in pronunciation between Natchitoches, LA, and Nagodoches, TX (and can spell them correctly).

I was gobsmacked by Elvis’ cover of “I Just Don’t Know What to
Do With Myself,” as an early inkling of his wide influences.

So disappointing, especially for us film forever stans. I saw it yesterday in 70mm at Alamo Drafthouse here in Austin and the print had three distracting scratches throughout.

Terrific appreciation. Forever grateful to the record store owner/musical sherpa (Jimmy Rink, Baton Rouge) who insisted I would love the debut LP despite its ridiculous cover.

Kind of liking the Fabled Mary Pickford Theater as a permanent name change. (And both @librarycongress.bsky.social theaters -- DC and Culpeper -- screen a lot of 35mm from the collections.)

[email protected] (the Moving Image reference desk) is always a good place to start. Last I knew we had the OCNs and preservation elements, but not a viewable copy. They can give you the latest info.

I had the great good fortune to befriend Janet (a sweetheart of the highest order) when she was the star of a Library of Congress film preservation tour in the early 2000s. The reverence with which she spoke of Hitchcock, publicly and privately, was striking.
