To the American people? No. They are doing what their constiuants want and that's a good chunk of the country.
To the constitution? Rule of law? Ethics, fairness, justice? 200 years social equality? Yes, traitors indeed. Hypocrite, selfish, religious zealots. Fascists.
Remember National Guard and Marines ... the Gestapo, SS, Storm Troopers, Wehrmact, Volkssturm and the like were also doing things "legally", under orders, for the "good of the people." What would you have said to them if you were in their shoes?Which you are right now!
Some judge (federal?) needs to decree these deployments are illegal so National Guard members can opt out. I hope the NG members are having discussions about this amongst themselves. I'm proud of those who've decided to serve ... but not at the behest of an autocrat.
