The funny thing is that I think they’ll actually help Mamdani claim a mandate. He hasn’t topped 50% in any polls I’ve seen — and a sub-majority performance could have been used against him.

My perception as an occasional non-electric Citi Biker is that NYC ebikes and scooters are more observant of lights today vs. 3/4 months ago. Am I imagining that?

Not so fast — Mamdani made his move 2-3 weeks ago on the back of really well done, positive ads that got a lot of play before the airwaves got jammed with the final push.
Not about any one tactic working or not … top to bottom, he ran a better campaign.
