"To be honest, it might be a bigger test than last week, as far as having success and being able to replicate that process and do it all over again ... We have to go in there with the right mindset." -- WR Stefon Diggs, on facing the Saints after Sunday's victory over the Bills

DE Keion White, who had a sleeve over his right elbow, worked to the side on conditioning during media-access portion of Patriots practice.

White didn’t finish Sunday’s game due to injury.

Meanwhile, DE K’Lavon Chaisson, who missed Sunday’s game (knee), returned to practice.

Practice-squad RB Terrell Jennings draws a large media crowd in the locker room, and shares that his locker mate, Antonio Gibson, told him that it’s his time now.

Of what Jennings hopes to bring to the team when at his best: “Physical, downhill runner.”

Mike Vrabel seems to spare rookie DT Joshua Farmer for his 15-yard penalty vs. the Bills, noting that he coaches players to play to the whistle and it appeared RB James Cook was attempting to lateral … and no whistle was heard.

Mike Vrabel on practice-squad RB Terrell Jennings and the traits that helped him stick around: Great teammate, toughness, can play on special teams.

Jennings is a candidate for a game-day elevation this week with only 2 healthy RBs on the active roster.

mikereiss.bsky.social
The Patriots had rookie free-agent LB Nick Kubitz (North Dakota State) in for a tryout. Kubitz (6-3, 229) had signed with the Falcons after the draft.

Would think some RBs will also be on the radar in the coming days.

Patriots join 2016 Ravens as only team in last 25 years to open a season with 2 rookies starting on blindside.

Room to grow. But hasn’t looked too big for them.
