I honestly wonder if that 49ers front four (whoever was in it at any point in the game) was the WORST DL of any team to reach the 'final eight' in SB era history. Much credit to Seattle - they were clearly more prepared and the better team, but, man that SF line was embarrassingly inept.

I've never understood why, when everyone acknowledges that voting for postseason awards is...murky at best, HOF voters still refer to the results as some sort of gospel. Do your own research! Why rely on what less-informed writers thought at the time??

I’d argue at least some of the negativity and chants of ‘overrated’ were/are steeped in an utterly predictable need from some folks to diminish new things that are successful right away.Few bands ever arrived so fully formed. Maybe they haven’t evolved much since, but neither did many great bands.

Impressive career numbers considering he didn't get a single at-bat after age 36 (hip injury) and didn't get a proper shot in the majors until he was 24. If Jim Rice, Harold Baines, Tony Perez, Billy Williams, Tony Lazzeri, Orlando Cepeda and Gil Hodges are in, there is ZERO argument vs. Delgado.

Lillard seems like a genuinely good dude who is trying to carve out a career as a mature, serious actor. Not easy when you've been a young semi-star. Tarantino needs to shut up about stuff like this.

some 2001 favourites maybe not considered yet : The Constantines' debut album, Old 97's - Satellite Rides, Sheila Divine - Where Have My Countrymen Gone?, Sloan - Pretty Together, REM - Reveal (like most of their post-Imperial Era records, it has aged very well), Ted Leo - Tyranny of Distance.
