Buffalo bred, Tull fed
As was I. 😉 Love that record.

Well, then, now you’ve pissed me off! Congratulations is one of the best vocal performances ever recorded! 😂

This is an alltime favorite of my! Lands somewhere between #10 and #20. I love when their voices join together for the choruses…a real fun road-trip album to sing along with.
(Remind me…which ones Lucky?)

It’s never too late to offer it, Phil! Perhaps it differs from mine?

Definitely felt rushed to get it to market in time for last years holiday… if I recall it didn’t get shipped til December 16th or so.

Destroyer and Revenge were others.

Nailed it! Lou cowrote “World Without Heroes” for Kiss and Doane Perry (Tull’s longest serving drummer) played on Lou’s record (“Blue Mask”)

I’d say Cooper more than Kiss. Alice had a more cinematic arc to his songwriting. Kiss was mostly dragged over to the conceptual arena by their producer on a couple records (both times w/ Bob Ezrin)

You’re absolutely right, I’d overlooked that Destroyer remix when I posted this. However I was thinking of someone else… a Bob Ezrin recruit.

Can’t deny any of them… I will say the Christmas set is lacking on print detail in comparison to all the others. I love the backstory and various perspectives included in all the other sets.

But you’re on the right track (w/ Bob Ezrin)

Here in the states, the intros were stated thus… “you’ll notice I’m gravitating stage right towards my fellow countrymen. That’s because on the other side of the stage I’m charged a tariff to stand next to the two Americans!”

It’s a little surprising Ian didn’t get invited to play on Genes solo album…everyone else in the entire recording industry is credited.

Still got Samantha Fox on your mind?
November 18, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Close only counts in heavy horses and hard luck women 😉

Wouldn’t that have been cool though?
November 18, 2025 at 3:51 AM
No…not Roy.

And more in action figures, comic books, t-shirts, Halloween costumes, coffins, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Fun fact…the blood that went into the Kiss comic was mixed in the town (Depew NY, just outside Buffalo) I was born in. kisstimeline.com/timeline/kis...
25. May, 1977: Kiss put their blood in the comic book ink – Kiss Timeline
On 25. May, 1977, Kiss put the blood into the ink for their comic Marvel Super Special #1. This was also the last appearance in their Destroyer costumes.

We’d need a tape measure for that. 🤣
November 18, 2025 at 3:23 AM
Kooks of a feather flock together 😉
Thanks for the data on that … I did a google search for overall album sales: KISS = 100 million, Tull = 60 million.
I haven’t searched this for accuracy but I’d venture only Tull topped album charts (twice, w/ TAAB + APP)… sound right?
November 18, 2025 at 3:22 AM
I haven’t done the math on this so truly don’t know, but I’d ask…ARE they more popular on a global level? And how are we measuring? Cumulative album sales? Some other measure?
For the record, both bands were hugely influential to me. Kiss first, Tull later (and still).

Gene is becoming much more endearing and lovable in his later years. He’s the reason I first desired to pick up an instrument (bass guitar) when I was 14.

So jelly! 🤩 Great pics, would love to hear more nuggets about what was learned at panels or what else stood out from the weekend.
November 17, 2025 at 5:14 PM
I’ll wait a couple more weeks, but this is a pleasing reminder that I’ll need to pull it off the shelf soon! I love the live content from this set.
