I'm preparing the things I need for Warm Ale and Mud.
It's the tale of Heiligsheld, a small village in Stirland.

I'm using WFB 3rd edition.

It features day to day life & tells the story of the undead menace from neighbouring Sylvania.

The humans are old citadel with no duplicates.

Proper Dwarves those. Well done Manling.

The 80's and 90's had a less is more quality.
Better thought out poses and sculpts, more about character, less about skullz and spikez.

Hmmm except for maybe the banner chap, I think they are all old citadel, maybe some marauder and or heartbreaker? Pretty much all long out of production now, except a couple.

Thank you. They are actually my least favourite paint jobs!!
But en masse they don't look too bad.

ooooh that is pretty nice that is.

Dang.

I saw the luddite bit in your profile and then Hirst and thought, woop another grumpy old sod who laments the passing of scratchbuilding and crafts... :P

I say that, Siege is terrible, so fix away.

:D

Nice games room, double bonus for using Hirst and being oldschool crafts and not 3d printing!

These:

It is what I still play today.
If it ain't broke. Don't fix it.

My website has finished works & you can explore the site to learn about the villagers, the soldiers, the village itself & the comings & goings. Small skirmishes, bigger battles, gossip & shenanigans.

It is still new & very much a work in progress, but it is getting there.

Warm Ale and Mud.

Skellibobs for Warm Ale and Mud.
Risen from neighbouring Sylvania and still in their tattered uniforms.

The bases on these are less vibrant than the Stirland ones for the living, with more dead leaves, a darker dryer deader looking grass and brown dying ferns.

*Risen from neighbouring Stirland.

Sylvania that should be, risen from Sylvania.

Nothing says "I am the ruling elite" quite like gold and a big red codpiece.
mikeswargames.bsky.social
Proper Orcs from the time of less is more. Everything just got too busy.
mikeswargames.bsky.social
Orangey favoured one, but possibly because it reminds me of Advanced Heroquest.

Zombies for Warm Ale and Mud.
Risen from neighbouring Stirland.

The bases on these are less vibrant than the Stirland ones for the living, with more dead leaves, a darker dryer deader looking grass and brown dying ferns. And a rat is trying to get away from the death.

Proper WD looking.
Great work presented in the most aspirational of ways!
It looked like a WD before, but the coloured banners etc add that cherry on top!

Managed to put a border around this image so it is not so bloody huge.
