Mike Traynor, a know-It-all
@miketrilobite.bsky.social
Catoholic, trilobitoholic Canadian. Math/science & law at uni. Most important: empathy & humility. Most interesting wit & insight. I try to live up to 'Never be afraid to admit you were wrong. You're only admitting you're wiser now than you once were.'
Toss you out into a woodlot to hunt for your food and who's 'low intelligence' then?

A Canadian lottery winner would pay $0.00 dollars in taxes on their winnings.

You are, quite simply, lying about 'Push Your Limits' comments. Off you go, into the trash bin.

I'd be tempted to fake take a phone call & loudly say to my imagined interlocutor 'You wouldn't believe this idiot doing a therapy session right here in the coffee shop. Some people, eh? ... Yeah, clearly does need therapy.'

One of my brothers once complained that my Mom's pie crust was too flakey.

Years ago a grocery store I shopped at played Christmas music like Jingle Bells on a ten minute loop. Drove the employees crazy. The cart kids (a thing back then) would beg me to let them push my cart to my car so they could get outside and away from the music loop. I let them.

If you're looking for pie ideas, try your pecan pie recipe but instead of pecans, use walnuts. It gives a pie very like pecan but the slight bitterness of the walnuts cuts the tendency to cloying sweetness that pecan pie can fall prey to.

I am not now nor have I ever been a Giants fan, but Jameis Winston is fun.

Well, I really liked these pics of your beautiful cat. I come here mostly for the cat pics. Thanks!

I love the way cats curl their tails over their front paws. Just something charming about it.

Loved Freediver. The ending has hope and I'm in need of that these days. One note on radio transmissions, if you want it, but you do not need it as it makes no goddamn bit of difference, but I'm like that. Great story and as always you make me think.

When I was in math, I had that 'in the background' thinking on a regular basis. Batter my head against a problem, go to bed, wake up with the solution needing only to be written down. Demonstrates that 'intuition' can be, well, mathematically rigorous.

No matter how you slice it, having skills with swords is very, very cool.

When I was a kid my Mom would call out the likes of 'Mort! ... Row! ... Mike!' and we'd consider ourselves especially favoured if she only called out one cat's name before getting to our name.

Take your butter tarts to the next level by using Lyle's Golden Syrup and dried currants. The golden syrup adds depth and the slightly tart currants make a nice contrast.

With just a bit more effort, that could have been made completely illegible. What's wrong with text that is easy to read? I know you know your stuff and your words do not need to be obscured (illegibility would certainly help Trump), so please, function over form.

'So, Ms Leavitt, you'll rejoice at my frankness and openness when I say you are the Mouth of Sauron without the human charm and that you not only lie while exhaling but while inhaling too.'

Awefully cute for a demon. And inthese dark times, cats are lifesavers, as mine is.

Very happy kitty! Does my soul to see. Thanks!

To me it seems as silly as Trump's gilding of the White House. I'm a boy. I have pockets. Phones fit in pockets. To me the iSock just looks like a pocket that's wandering around on its own.
