I suck at keeping up with things like journaling but today I got a “one line a day” five year journal thing so I’m gonna give it a go. Just one little thing about my day I feel like I should be able to manage.

In my RadioDust fic I initially had Angel say the line “I was often the whitest person there and I’m Italian, didn’t really count” when talking about the queer ballroom scene in Harlem. But I ended up cutting it because I didn’t want to get more into race stuff than I was already as a white person 😅

I’ve been advised to mark those comments as spam or report them if they’re from registered users, so that’s what I’m doing. But something good came out of it: I got off my ass and started to draw! 😊

I was getting sad cause my fic kept getting targeted by scammers trying to sell me “art” so I decided, fuck it, I’ll learn how to make my own lol

Yeah, absolutely. And then Helluva Boss is more character focused in the first place because it doesn’t have this big apocalyptic thing hanging over it, so character development got a lot more room from the get go.

I believe it was Sam Sykes who said that if you read closely enough you can tell the exact point in the prose where the author started touching themselves, and I think that’s beautiful.
(For real, though, I’be discovered so many kinks reading fic.)
