The cost of living has been a problem in New Jersey for a long time. But these days, it feels worse, and the massive increase in energy costs is a big reason why.

I’m going to declare a State of Emergency on Day One to end the rate hikes and drive in new energy to grow supply and lower costs.

My heart is with all those who lost loved ones and particularly the hostages still in captivity. We must work to bring home the hostages, end the humanitarian crisis, and reach a lasting ceasefire to bring peace to the region.

Today marks two years since the vicious Hamas terrorist attacks of October 7th. More than 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage, where tragically, too many still remain. It has also been two years of war in Gaza, setting off a humanitarian crisis and devastating the region.

This weekend, Team Mikie volunteers made over 77k calls, knocked nearly 45k doors, and launched 93 canvasses across the state.
