Nice day for a protest in New Haven.

Much needed vibes of hope, strength and solidarity tonight. And I got to sit behind Rosa Parks on the bus ride there on Transit Equity Day.

My library was out of the "grownup" version of their cards. How absolutely tragic.

One of the few handwritten items in my great-grandfather's scrapbooks. I wasn't expecting "why does the conductor punch a hole in your ticket? to let you pass through," but I'll take it. Why did he write them down and preserve them along with his baseball scores and such? Did he tell them to others?

I made a spoon! And took it on a train ride! First woodworking project.

My great grandfather drew this. It sat in my grandmother's garage for who knows how long, and then in my mother's attic for 20 years. Now it's in my garage. Anyone who might know anything about this drawing is gone. Someone at some point cared enough to frame it. We all kept it. It's important.

This is the week I involve my co-workers in my very important interest in chonky bears and call it team building. They humor me.
