He has, but there's not a lot to consider here. There aren't really any upsides to allowing sexualised images of children on social media. Its cut and dried.

My guess is that he hoped Musk would do the sensible thing, and kept quiet, but when he effectively monetised it, it pissed him off.

Luckily we have a game against Portsmouth to a) see if it was an anomaly or b) a lack of match sharpness.

...had to wait for the polling

There's a link between the local Somali population and the large numbers of ICE personnel being shipped in.
January 8, 2026 at 11:26 AM
In itself, it probably isn't. But ICE and it's motives, potential etc. is big news, and this could be seen as defining example of that.

Govts dont necessarily lose elections when they lose their belief and nerve, but they do tend to lose their leaders when they do.

How to run a big club ManUtd/Chelsea style.

1. Hire a new manager
2. Does he win the league within two seasons?
Yes, go to 4. No. Go to 3
3. Sack him, go back to 1.
4. Go back to 2.

Only if Spurs aren't still paying him

Also I'd like to see tue follow on question
"if you said that s civil war is likely, or somewhat likely, is that due to
a) what you see happening in your day to day life?
b) dumb opinion pieces, which are themselves based on nothing more than random twitter posts, fantasists and Elon Musk?"
January 4, 2026 at 3:07 PM
I hadn't heard of Betz before reading this piece, so I checked out his twitter feed.

He comes across as a fantasist.

The reason people are discussing the possibility of a civil war, isn't because there might be a civil war, but because journos give credence to people like him.

Also:

It'll take a lot of time and investment to get that oil flowing. (Trump's an old man)

And

The US is a net energy exporter already
January 4, 2026 at 2:25 PM
On the plus side, this is Arteta actually using Madueke (a £50m+ player) as he should do and not as someone to throw on with 5 minutes to go when we need a goal.

(Of course, I'll delete this when it gets announced Saka's been playing with an injury for the last 2 weeks)
January 3, 2026 at 4:38 PM
Peaceful elections in 10 weeks would require some cooperation between the US and the more democratic sections of Venezuelan society/ opposition and there seems zero evidence of that. At the moment it looks as though someone like Cabello will just take the reins. Early days of course.
January 3, 2026 at 1:44 PM
Whereas the US military is considerably better.
January 3, 2026 at 10:48 AM
Yeah, the reason I said Putin, was the basic incompetence of his military stopped him from doing it to Ukraine.
January 3, 2026 at 10:48 AM
>> or similar, you dont want an entire country of potential suicide bombers swearing revenge on the death of their beloved leader.
January 3, 2026 at 10:46 AM
There isn't really that much you *can* do against massively powerful countries with despotic leaders.
However, there's little point in doing it unless theres a benefit. Normally it's easier to bribe the existing leader in some way.
Also depends on how popular the leader is. If youre Putin >>
January 3, 2026 at 10:45 AM
In the case of Putin, basic incompetence?
January 3, 2026 at 10:30 AM
I would imagine they'll be a little more savvy about getting into a hidden safe house.
January 3, 2026 at 10:29 AM
It was a joke.

We could respond, but it'll be futile.
January 3, 2026 at 10:23 AM
Football does deserve better, but unless he breaks some actual laws, (and Im guessing he's not dumb enough to make the sake mistakes Blatter did) there isn't anyone who has both the authority and the desire to stop him.
January 3, 2026 at 10:22 AM
Venezuela didn't qualify for the World Cup so they're a legitimate target apparently
January 3, 2026 at 8:27 AM
Currently counting up the number of 'reverses' and cancelling them out in your statement.
