Separate and apart, what I have been dwelling on the most from the book is the uniformity of crops (corn & soy) due to subsidies and incentives and the cascade on animal raising. Circles within circles that I had never heard of

of the scope of the USDA, particularly as it has an outsized influence on housing in rural areas, but it is not at all clear that Sec. Rollins knows that.

As I said, I really enjoyed the book. My question is based on the current head of HHS (RFK, Jr) and my personal belief that he should not be in control of anything more than a collection of paper clips he finds during training sessions with his ravens. I do think there needs to be reconsideration...
