So far there is nothing that has been so effective at breaking my social media addiction as AI generated content.

It is artificial enough to cause disconnection for me.

Which is very interesting to me.

Some of the biggest obstacles to learning new things, aren't the difficulty of the new, but the difficulty unlearning the old.

Okay, we definitely need regulations that makes AI Generation Companies and Social Media companies responsible and liable for false celebrity endorsements and fake advertisements.

I am not even talking about policing fake content. I am talking about content they take money to promote...

Cato Institute, a conservative think tank, reports that more than 50% of the men sent to and imprisoned in El Salvador prison by the USA government were legal immigrants who never violated immigration law. That is according to reviewed data.

So far, government agencies have been hugely...

I went and cast my vote today in early voting.

I kept hearing that every early voting location had long lines. But no lines at my location. In and out in 5 minutes.

The truth is, the USA has a trade deficit with so many countries because they are a rich country that can buy more from other countries than those countries can buy in return.

The easy fix is to become a poor country so other countries can afford more than the USA. That seems to be the...

I would love to see an analysis of how many of the shell companies making the most money off this trade war ultimately trace back to Trump and his closest cronies.

But that would probably take some years to unravel.

Personally, I am 100% against the attacks on Tesla dealerships. For 2 big reasons:

1. I actually believe that peace, love, and truth are more revolutionary than violence, and that is the way forward for thriving democracy.

And 2. Burning Teslas just helps Tesla sell more cars since the...

The Tesla stock hasn't gone broke yet, as delightful as that might be.

Hear me out. The stock has lost an unheard of amount of value this year, like almost half. That sounds devastating until you realize that it is only lost a little bit of its value from Oct 2024. That's right. The 40+%...

Danielle Smith demanding that Mark Carney call for an immediate election is ironic since she took her sweet time to call for an election when she was in the same shoes as Alberta's Premier.

She waited 7 months for her first election when she took over from Jason Kenny.

Double standards much?

When Christians decide not to suffer for the good news of grace, compassion, and love, they invariably become oppressors, causing the "least of these" to suffer instead.

When your beliefs are too shallow to require self-sacrifice, you sacrifice others.

The way the Trump team was offended that a foreign leader was not wearing their kind of suit, and yet has no problem with Elon Musk not wearing a suit, shows that they see the foreign leader as their subjugate, but Elon as their superior.

I keep seeing comments such as a businessman could run the government more efficiently.

Maybe...

What these commentors don't seem to remember is that businesses are not democracies. There will always be some inherent waste in democratic governments. That is the cost of democracy.

When you believe in big, shadowy, sweeping conspiracy theories, it gives you this justification to excuse your own morals or the morals of the people you support politically.

Love your neighbours is no longer valid because you are fighting this invisible enemy that could be potentially...

The people who don't believe they have a say in our democracy or that their vote matters will always tend to vote towards a dictatorship.

It is a case of self-fullfilling prophesies.

I have seen that helpless victim mentality in a hundred conversations.

Okay, I don't know how effective DEI ever was...

But the idea that it was bad for merit lacks the acknowledgement that it was always about cronyism before DEI anyway.

And now we are getting back to cronyism.

That getting rid of DEI will improve merit based hiring is absolutely laughable.

I think proposing with wedding rings in food is phenomenal.

They find it and say yes, or they swallow it and die. Good riddance, they didn't deserve you.

Okay, I hope you hear the sarcasm in that. Just in case you don't,

I actually think it is incredibly stupid.

I get that experienced business guys could spot inefficiencies.

But this chaotic approach is not a sign of know-how at all. Neither Trump nor Musk are the right people for that job. Also, if they want to balance the budget, first they should pay their share of the taxes.

Also...
I get it. But I also get that people who run companies see the inefficiency within government and can’t fathom or abide it. I see so much waste here in the UK that would kill our business. It would be impossible not to believe I could do it better. You could too.

A few notes:

1. Damn, other than lying about oil exports, Pierre Poilievre almost sounded like a liberal in Vancouver. Haha.

Wishing for democrats to win in swing states in mid-term elections? He is truly a turncoat snake oil salesman.

But he knows he needs to create some distance there.

Republicans in Tennessee have passed a bill that makes it illegal to stand for convictions different than those the Republicans endorse.

This is the opposite of freedom. It is all about controlling others and what they are supposed to believe.

The danger of religious conservatism being...

There are three big lies of our capitalistic economy.

1. People are meant to serve the economy
2. The value of a human is his contribution to the market
3. Having more money makes you more righteous

These lies ignore that people are the real economy.
