Rethinking the definition of Educational Technology led me to reconsider my own professional role in the field. Although I am a pedagogist with more than fifteen years of experience in EdTech, I find it relevant and necessary to revisit the definition of the field periodically. Knowing what we do, why we do it, and from what critical position we act is part of the process of professionalizing our practice and our research.
